It takes two years to complete
the burden unthinkable
It even costs a lot
and never ceases to intimidate

Here, professors are busier than celebrities

Email is the best form of communication here
even to your neighbors next door
Your house slowly becomes a hotel here
used only for sleeping and/or bathing
Opportunities to enjoy are seldom here
and lab seems to be the only place left on earth
But, we all still do it
as masters is not just a degree

Thesis is a very good option they say
allows to do research
Writing it is a bigger problem than doing it
not sure how that part actually helps
It also has to be new and innovative
to give something back to research community
It should be a collection of your entire work
as masters is not just a degree

Getting the degree counts as your biggest achievement
the feeling irreplacable
All the people here share a special bond
after together passing their worst nightmares
They have lived through all the things
though fearful and cagey
Now, separation bring back the tears
